Job summary

Community Medical Center in Missoula, MT is seeking a Histology Technician to perform routine histopathology duties, including staining, processing, and preparing slides for diagnostic review. The role requires certification in Histology and CLA or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified Histology Tech program.
• CLA or equivalent training in histology

Responsibilities

• The Histologist performs routine lab duties preparing and processing histopathology specimens.
• Meets turn-around-time standards.
• Maintains orderly filing system for blocks and slides.
• Block and slide prep completed accurately.
• Orders histology and cytology supplies.
• Records information into Windowpath system.
• Generates statistical/QA reports timely.
• Performs maintenance on equipment as needed.
