Mountain View Hospital is seeking a Histology Technician to perform daily histology workflows, calibrations, quality controls, and routine maintenance on analyzers and manual tests. You will provide excellent service to patients, physicians, and staff, while prioritizing specimens and troubleshooting equipment under pressure.
The role requires hands-on histology experience, ability to multitask, and strong communication skills to support a busy laboratory team in Idaho Falls.
Performs the daily activities related to Histology. Ensures the validity of test results by performing calibrations, quality controls, and routine maintenance on all analyzers and manual tests. Provide excellent customer service on the phone and in person, to patients, physicians, and other medical staff. Must work well under pressure, troubleshoot analyzers and equipment, prioritize specimens (STAT, Urgent, Routine, etc.), multitask, and be flexible in order to accommodate laboratory needs.

Education/Certification: Current certification as HT- ASCP or HT-NCA or equivalent experience - Valid driver's license.
Experience: 2 years Histology technician required or equivalent experience.
Equipment/Technology: Basic computer knowledge (Word and Excel) and skills in lab information systems
Language/Communication: Proactively conveys a clear, convincing, and timely message; possesses strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. Perceives pertinent details in verbal or tabular material. Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy required
