Responsibilities

• Microtomy: create adequate histologic sections with proper leveling.
• Assist with daily IHC and special stain workloads; process orders.
• Retrieve slides/blocks and perform IHC/SS with stainers and QC.
• Embed tissue with correct orientation for sectioning.
• Perform recuts and additional stains as requested by a Pathologist.
• Maintenance/troubleshooting of equipment and documentation.
• Assist with filing and training new staff.
