Job summary

Clinpath Diagnostics is seeking a 2nd shift Histology Technician in Tempe, AZ. The role focuses on preparing high-quality histological samples for diagnostic pathology, including embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting tissues on slides.

You will work with routine histology procedures and assist in special stains and IHC QC; adherence to HIPAA, CAP and OSHA regulations is required. The position emphasizes teamwork within the laboratory and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in microtomy and QC'ing IHCs.
• HT/HTL or QIHC certification preferred.
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality histological preparations to aid in pathological diagnosis.
• Maintains equipment and supplies in clean conditions, to avoid contamination of reagents and solutions.
• Maintains equipment with documentation and reports malfunctions to manager.
• Must be able to handle stat requests and respond to emergency situations.
• Performs daily QC documentation, temperature charting and other maintenance as required.
• Applies meticulous attention to detail.
• Multitasks effectively.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
