Job summary

Skin Wellness Physicians seeks an experienced Histology Laboratory Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations, staff supervision, and regulatory readiness within the Dermatopathology Histology Lab. You will manage workflow, staff competency, quality control, and collaboration with Pathologists to ensure accurate tissue processing and diagnosis.

The role requires strong leadership, hands-on technical skills in histology, IHC, QC, and safety compliance to maintain regulatory standards and

Qualifications

Associate degree in Histology or related field per CLIA requirements.
Florida Supervisor License in Histology required; HT/HTL ASCP preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day Histology laboratory operations, workflow, and compliance with SOPs and safety policies.
Direct and develop Histology staff, conduct training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and coaching.
Maintain quality control, QA programs, and regulatory readiness for CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and AHCA.
Coordinate with Pathologists on specimen quality, processing, staining, and special testing requirements.
Ensure equipment maintenance, documentation, and inventory management.
