HCA Healthcare is seeking a Histology Supervisor to lead the lab team, oversee specimen processing, and ensure accurate identification for pathologists. The role focuses on quality control, equipment upkeep, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced lab setting.

The supervisor collaborates with pathologists, manages staff performance, and helps drive departmental goals for service and regulatory compliance while maintaining cost controls.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology or Chemistry.
• National Certification as a Medical or Histology Technologist.
• 3 years of experience as a Histology Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day laboratory operations and resources to meet requirements.
• Oversees staff hiring, orientation, training, and competency.
• Provides ongoing performance feedback through reviews and coaching.
• Oversees employee conduct and output to ensure standards.
• Supports department goals for service, quality, compliance, and satisfaction.
• Monitors activities and data to improve operations.
• Manages department expenses and budget discussions.
• Participates in accreditation readiness and regulatory activities.
• Develops workflows and implements corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborates with pathologists and care teams to meet customer needs.
