Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Lab Assistant I - Histology in Hackensack, NJ. This hospital-based role supports basic preparation of histology specimens and performs routine duties under supervision.

The position requires attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and LIS. Hours are Monday–Friday with rotational weekends; pay ranges from $17.76 to $26.64 per hour.

Formación

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• Some College Courses in Science preferred (Preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine activities involved in the preparation of histopathology slides under general supervision according to policies and procedures.
• Receive/collect, label and prepare tissue specimens for gross dissection.
• Process paperwork associated with accessioning and reporting.
• Monitor inventory, requisition supplies prior to depletion; stock and maintain laboratory supplies.
• Clean, sterilize, organize and maintain work area, glassware and laboratory equipment.
• Perform coverslipping of stained slides both manually and automated.
• Responsible for all assigned clerical duties.
• Comply with health, quality and safety policies; use PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.
