Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Lab Assistant II in North Bergen, NJ, Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with rotational weekends. This hospital-based role assists lab professionals and supports production through precise lab functions.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of full-time lab experience and a high school diploma or equivalent, plus proficiency with MS Office and LIS. Eligible for shift differentials and potential performance bonus.

Qualifications

• One (1) year full-time experience in a technical or clinical laboratory department.
• Ability to perform routine lab functions accurately and safely.
• Proficiency with LIS and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen receiving, labeling, handling and preparation.
• Assist with pre-analytical preparation of specimens (labels, caps, aliquots).
• Record digital temperature and notify if out of range.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance on some equipment.
• Enter data in laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Complete training and competency checklists as appropriate.
• Comply with health and safety policies and use PPE.
