Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Newtown Square, PA, seeks a Lab Assistant I – Histology to work Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM. This position supports the preparation of histopathology samples under general supervision and follows policy and procedure guidelines.

The role requires basic lab skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks. Pay starts at $17.20/hour with potential shift differentials; eligibility for annual bonus and comprehensive benefits is described

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of histopathology or lab experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of operating non-complex instrumentation.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine activities involved in the preparation of histopathology slides under general supervision and according to policies and procedures.
• Receive/collect, label and prepare tissue specimens for gross dissection.
• Process paperwork associated with accessioning and reporting.
• Monitor inventory, requisition supplies prior to depletion; stock and maintain laboratory supplies.
• Clean, sterilize, organize and maintain work area, glassware and equipment.
• Perform coverslipping of stained slides manually and automatically.
• Handle assigned clerical duties and documentation.
• Comply with health, quality and safety policies and PPE usage.
• Other duties as assigned.
