Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Lab Assistant I - Histology for evening shifts (7:00 PM–3:30 AM).

This full-time position performs basic histopathology sample prep, supports slide preparation, inventory control, and clerical duties while following safety and quality policies. Shift differential may apply for second/third shifts, with opportunities for annual bonus based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and lab information systems.
• Excellent communication and confidentiality when handling client data.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preparation of histopathology slides under supervision.
• Receive, label and prepare tissue specimens for dissection.
• Process paperwork for accessioning and reporting.
• Monitor inventory and stock laboratory supplies.
• Clean and maintain work area and equipment.
• Perform coverslipping manually and automated.
• Handle all assigned clerical duties.
• Follow health, quality and safety policies and use PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.
