Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Lab Assistant II - Histology to support histology workflows. The role offers 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a pay range starting at $17.20 per hour and potential annual bonus opportunities.

The position requires basic histology experience, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Office and laboratory information systems, along with the ability to handle PHI confidentially and follow all safety

Qualifications

• One year histopathology or laboratory experience.
• One year of handling PHI using an LIS.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college science coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue slides for microscopic evaluation under supervision.
• Receive, label and prepare tissue specimens for gross dissection.
• Maintain and clean equipment.
• Perform cover slipping of slides and H&E staining.
• Prepare reagents for tissue processing and staining.
• Maintain departmental statistics and inventory as needed.
