Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Able to communicate clearly and work with team.
• Visual acuity to perform duties and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist PA or Pathologist with grossing specimens.
• Determine processing techniques and pre-processing times.
• Accession specimens into the system.
• Label specimens and complete grossing documentation.
• Identify and resolve routine specimen issues.
• Refer non-routine problems to appropriate personnel.
• Perform clerical tasks like filing and handling specimens.
• Assist with receipt and distribution of supplies.
• Maintain records for regulatory compliance.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
