Responsibilities

• Assist PA or Pathologist with grossing specimens.
• Accession specimens into the system and label cassettes correctly.
• Identify and resolve routine specimen acceptability and test order problems.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks including specimen filing and disposal of tissue.
• Assist with receiving and distribution of supplies in the processing area.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Perform housekeeping duties to keep work area clean and orderly.
