Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a General Production Worker in Owatonna, MN to contribute to the early stages of production by stacking lumber and building boxes according to customer orders. You will read work orders, measure and cut as required, and operate hand and power tools with care to ensure quality and safety.

The role emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and adherence to PPE and safety standards in a small-plant environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months of manufacturing experience
• 6 months using a tape measure
• 6+ months of experience with hand and power tools

Job Title: General Production Worker

As a General Production Worker, you will be contributing to the initial stages of the production process by either stacking lumber coming off a conveyor belt or building boxes according to customer orders. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to read work orders and use hand and power tools effectively.

Responsibilities

• Stack lumber onto pallets as it comes off the conveyor belt.
• Build boxes per customer specifications, which may vary in size.
• Read and interpret work orders, including dimensions.
• Utilize hand and power tools efficiently.
• Measure materials accurately using a tape measure.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production, general labor, or assembly.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret tape measures and work orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• At least 6 months of experience using a tape measure.
• 6+ months of experience with hand and power tools.

Work Environment

Work in a small, family-like environment with a wide-open concept. The dress code includes jeans, a t-shirt, and steel-toed boots, with PPE provided by the company. The standard working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Owatonna, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
