Capital Health is seeking a Records Release of Information (ROI) Clerk to safeguard patient privacy and ensure compliant handling of requests. You will verify authorization, retrieve records from EMR systems, and process requests with a high level of accuracy while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities include encrypting and sending records via mail or secure electronic delivery, logging requests, and assisting Risk Management and Legal teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of ROI regulatory requirements is essential.
• RHIT or RHIA preferred; RHIA preferred if applicable.
• Bi-lingual abilities are a plus and beneficial for handling diverse patient records.

Responsabilités

• Validate requestor identity and verify authority of record requests, subpoenas, and consent forms.
• Process medical record requests with high accuracy and timely turnaround in compliance with HIPAA and state/federal standards.
• Gather patient record information from multiple EMR systems to fulfill requests and generate invoices where applicable.
