The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Murdoch Developmental Center, seeks a Medical Record Manager II to direct the Client Information Management Department and oversee the Electronic Healthcare Records Database. The role also serves as Privacy Official and HIPAA Risk Manager, driving compliance and incident tracking across the center.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring HIPAA privacy protections, managing releases of information and the SNAP

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in medical record science or administration with one year of experience in medical record work, or completion of a medical record technician program with four years of experience, one year in a supervisory capacity.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify.
• HIPAA privacy knowledge and strong record-keeping skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise the activities of the Client Information Management Department.
• Privacy Officer - Maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Medical records compliance, Release of Information, Scanning, Coding and Claims in an EHR system.
• SNAP Database Manager; maintain legacy databases and historical records.
