Job summary

Southwest Healthcare is seeking a System Manager - HIM-Medical Records to lead the HIM department across the region. You will collaborate with staff, participate in emergency drills, and ensure policy accuracy and compliance with safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Health Information Management, RHIA/RHIT certification, and 3+ years of leadership in HIM with acute care experience preferred. CA driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management is required.
• Master's degree in Health Information Management is preferred.
• 5–7 years of HIM experience with emphasis on training, quality and record management.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in Health Information Management; acute care preferred.
• RHIA or RHIT certification required; CA driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with staff across the region to manage HIM functions.
• Participates in Emergency Preparedness Drills and related activities.
• Develops, reviews, and revises departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensures adequate equipment and supplies for consistent service delivery.
• Reports unsafe conditions and maintains safety by addressing hazards.
