Job summary

Southwest Healthcare is seeking a System Manager - HIM-Medical Records who collaborates with staff region-wide. The role focuses on training, quality, and record management within Health Information Management, ensuring policy compliance and safe, efficient operations.

The ideal candidate has RHIA or RHIT certification, 3+ years of leadership in HIM, and a Bachelor's in HIM (Master's preferred), with substantial acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management required.
• Master's degree in Health Information Management preferred.
• Five to seven years of experience in Health Information Management with emphasis on training, quality and record management.
• Minimum 3 years leadership experience in Health Information Management, acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Emergency Preparedness Drills and understands role in emergencies.
• Facilitates departmental and hospital educational activities and inservices with Education Department.
• Responsible for development, review and revision of departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensures department has equipment and supplies necessary for quality and service delivery.
• Reports unsafe situations or hazards and coordinates equipment removal as needed.
