Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking an Health Information Management Supervisor to oversee the HIM department, manage the EHR across multiple acute care facilities, and ensure timely record completion with HIPAA compliance.

The role involves staff supervision, policy implementation, performance coaching, and collaboration with informatics, revenue cycle, and medical staff to maintain information governance and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management preferred.
• RHIA certification or eligible to sit for RHIA exam within 1–3 years.

Responsibilities

• Customer service excellence for stakeholders and staff.
• Lead and supervise HIM staff and ensure timely chart completion.
• Oversee EHR maintenance and data integrity across multiple facilities.
• Collaborate with informatics, reimbursement and medical staff to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop training for providers and department staff to improve performance.
• Monitor budget, payroll and department operations to stay within plan.
• Coordinate with service leader to recruit and retain top HIM talent.
