Qualifikationen

• Required: Associate's degree in Health Information Technology, Health Information Management or related field.
• Required: RHIT or RHIA certification from AHIMA.
• Experience: Five years in an health information management department in an integrated health system; Epic/OnBase preferred.

Aufgaben

• Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and policies; reports violations.
• Manages regulatory workflows for patient record amendments and communicates with physicians.
• Investigates advanced document requests for ADR audits with HIM leadership; coordinates release activities.
• Supports regulatory survey activities with records and compliance initiatives.
• Collaborates with HIM leadership to manage data for initiatives and validation.
• Coordinates with release of information vendor for revenue cycle denial and appeals.
• Generates reports to maintain Master Patient Indices integrity and verify MPI numbers.
• Resolves overlays/overlaps; coordinates with clinics; handles transfers.
• Manages records marked for merge/correction; resolves duplicates daily.
• Coordinates testing of ancillary systems and ADT-related merges/transfers.
• Performs medical record reviews; escalates complex issues to HIM leadership.
• Assists with quality assurance review and birth records validation.
