Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited HIM program or 5 years experience in an HIM department.
• RHIA or RHIT preferred, not required.
• 5 years HIM experience with knowledge of record processing and coding workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage the chart check-in process to ensure correct folder placement and timely filing.
• Oversee outpatient and ER record processing to support timely coding and billing.
• Conduct weekly audits of ancillary outpatient records for accuracy.
• Coordinate staff training and development for record completion processes.
• Monitor productivity and quality improvement indicators and report statistics.
• Collaborate with medical staff to resolve incomplete record issues.
