Job summary

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is seeking an HIM Representative II in the Health Information Management department. The position focuses on ensuring accurate, timely, and secure management of patient records to support clinical decisions, compliance, and the patient/family experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years of related work experience.
• Experience with Epic or HIM/EHR systems a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and reconcile discharged patient records from Inpatient units and Same Day Surgery.
• Collect outpatient records from clinical areas and other locations.
• Prepare documents for imaging per procedures.
• Convert and manage electronic images using scanning tech.
• Upload images into Imaging system after quality review.
• Identify issues and discuss resolutions with team.
• Maintain boxes of imaged records for offsite storage.
