Job summary

Luther Manor, a Life Plan Community, is seeking an HIM Manager to coordinate all Health Information Management functions, review resident medical records, and code diagnoses to the highest specificity in accordance with Medicare regulations. The role oversees the release of medical records, manages electronic health records, and supports privacy and data quality initiatives.

You will ensure HIPAA/HITECH compliance, supervise unit secretary functions, and collaborate with Nursing, IT, and Finance

Qualifications

• Health Information Management degree or RHIA/RHIT preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, state and federal regulations.
• Experience with medical records coding and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates release of medical records per laws and policy.
• Oversees storage of paper, image/electronic, and other records.
• Ensures HIPAA/HITECH compliance and PHI confidentiality.
• Collaborates with Nursing, IT, and Finance to resolve issues.
