Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Health Information Manager to oversee centralized medical record functions, including deficiency management and chart completion, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The role supervises HIM staff, enforces policy, and aligns with regulatory standards across the organization.

Responsibilities include daily operations, staff development, reporting, and collaboration with hospital leaders to improve documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Technology or related field required.
• 3–5 years of management in health information or clinical role with knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with Epic or other EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of health information functions including chart completion and deficiency management.
• Ensure compliance with HIM policies, CMS, TJC, CARF, and DOH standards.
• Direct a large team, conduct monthly meetings, and manage staffing and evaluations.
• Develop educational programs for staff and assist with orientation and training.
• Analyze performance metrics and drive process improvements in medical records.
