Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking an HIM Specialist to generate reports, download and prepare data, and enter information to support accurate data for future analysis. You will update data systems, maintain spreadsheets, and reconcile reports with staff members.

You will also coordinate and prepare birth certificates for the state registry, develop queries, and assist with audits to ensure data integrity. This U.S.-based role requires attention to detail and HIPAA knowledge.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience with data entry, report generation, and data preparation.
• Knowledge of MS Office products.
• Skilled in data preparation and formatting.
• Excellent time management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage health record deficiencies, update state registries, and release medical records in accordance with HIPAA and state guidelines.
• Monitor and resolve HIM application issues, maintain accurate EMPI, and address data integrity concerns.
• Perform and update data entry in spreadsheets and systems to ensure accurate records.
• Coordinate and prepare birth certificates for the state registry.
• Develop queries, copy data, and align information across systems for consistency.
• Conduct quality audits and assist with system troubleshooting to ensure data integrity.
