Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Coding Coordinator for HIM Coding to oversee operations, workflow, and third‑party supplier activities, ensuring timely and complete documentation under the Master Services Agreement.

You will partner with the Coding Manager and physicians to drive optimization, educate clinicians on coding guidelines, monitor KPIs/CPIs, and develop standard processes that yield accurate billing.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 4 years in healthcare coding.
• Certifications: CCS, CCS-P, CIRCC, COC, CPC, RHIA or RHIT required.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between Baylor Scott & White Healthcare, providers and third-party suppliers to optimize coding workflows.
• Monitor KPIs and CPIs; ensure supplier compliance and performance.
• Educate physicians and clinicians on coding guidelines and documentation improvement.
• Develop materials and standard processes for coding areas.
• Protect patient confidentiality and promote effective customer relations.
