Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) seeks a Provider Coding Compliance Consultant to develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies. The role reports to the Coding Compliance Manager and supports the Compliance VP/Director in adhering to federal, state, and local laws.

The incumbent conducts audits, prepares reports, and coordinates education for providers on coding trends and regulatory requirements, ensuring effective corrective actions and ongoing compliance across BSWH entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HIM or 4 years of work experience above minimum qualification.
• CPC/CCS/CCS-P or similar certifications preferred.
• Experience in healthcare coding/audit environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify audit projects and schedule audits with relevant personnel.
• Audit provider services to ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Provide written audit reports with risks and remediation steps.
• Collect corrective action plans and verify completion.
• Track findings and measure audit satisfaction.
• Coordinate coding education for providers on audit trends.
