Job summary

Southwestern Healthcare, Inc. in Evansville, IN, seeks a part-time Health Information Management Assistant to support the HIM team. You will manage access to protected health information and ensure the accuracy and security of patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED, with prior medical office and EHR experience preferred. HIPAA knowledge is required; strong communication and detail orientation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Releases protected health information to authorized individuals in line with guidelines.
• Scans and files paper documents into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Assists with HIM department projects as needed.
• Provides excellent customer service to clients, the public, and treatment providers.
• Promotes teamwork within the HIM department.
