Job summary

virtua in Mount Holly, NJ is seeking a full-time Health Information Technician to protect patient data and ensure the confidentiality of medical information.

You will prep, scan, index and quality‑audit documents in OnBase and Epic, supporting electronic health record documentation completion and timely access to the Legal Health Record. You’ll work with physicians and hospital departments to identify deficiencies and maintain data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Document capture of paper records into document management system (OnBase) and Epic (Paper to EHR).
• Assess scanned images against quality requirements and manage index queues.
• Monitor Epic In‑basket and OnBase queues for releases and scheduled surgeries.
• Validate demographic information and identify patient merges/duplicates.
• Identify and address physician/provider deficiencies to ensure timely completion of legal health records.
• Support physicians with deficiency corrections and documentation completion.
• Maintain paper record storage and ensure destruction of originals per policy.
