Qualifications

• Able to work in a team environment and make sound decisions.
• At least 2 years of experience in Medical Records or HIM operations.
• Experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system strongly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Abstract clinical data elements from medical records for clinical quality reporting.
• Assist in design and implementation of HIM training modules (documentation management, PHI, data abstraction).
• Communicate significant findings to Clinical Quality or Utilization teams in a timely manner.
• Maintain written documentation of gaps identified during medical record reviews for training and improvements.
• Review records to abstract data elements for QA/QC and performance reporting.
