Nimble is seeking a skilled engineer to own one core HIL regression pillar, building and maintaining automated HIL frameworks, dashboards, and CI so validation on the HILs remains fast, reliable, and continuous during the V6 push.

You will develop a testing environment that blends physical hardware (ECUs, sensors, motor controllers) with simulated dynamics for stress and fault-injection testing, expanding module self-tests and the data pipeline and integrating high-speed DAQ and bus tracing for

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical, Computer, or Robotics Engineering
• 1-3+ years validating embedded systems, control software, or robotics firmware; HIL experience strongly preferred
• Strong Python (and Rust or C++) for automated test scripts and analysis; CI/CD experience (e.g., Jenkins)
• Understanding of digital/analog I/O and robotics comms (CAN, Ethernet, USB, Serial); MATLAB/Simulink a plus
• Comfortable with requirements traceability and defect management

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the HIL test environment combining physical hardware with simulated dynamics for stress and fault-injection testing
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks, reporting, dashboards, and the AI analyzer; keep CI jobs on the HILs green
• Expand the 30+ module self-tests and improve the associated data pipeline; own regression and smoke test coverage
• Integrate high-speed DAQ and bus tracing (CAN, I2C, Ethernet) for deep hardware and firmware diagnostics
• Partner with robot SW and Nimble Health to improve the simulation models used on the HILs
• Lead physical pick/pack testing: evaluate and optimize SKU pickability, grip reliability, and placement accuracy
