Job summary

Nuro is seeking a test and validation engineer to build and evolve an automated HIL validation framework for ADAS and autonomous driving ECUs. You will translate validation requirements into repeatable test cases, execute on HIL benches, and partner with firmware and systems teams to ensure release readiness.

The role requires strong Python skills, data analysis experience, and hands-on automation testing, with opportunities to advance in a fast-paced startup environment in Mountain View, CA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data analysis and test scripting/automation (C/C++, Python, Matlab/Simulink).
• Proficiency in automation test frameworks and safe, repeatable test design.
• Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with automated test infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve automated hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) validation framework for ADAS/ autonomous driving ECU testing.
• Translate validation requirements into repeatable test cases covering nominal, fault, timing, and safety behavior.
• Execute and debug validation on HIL benches using vehicle networks and system emulation.
• Collaborate with firmware, systems, and validation teams to define coverage and improve releases.
• Support automated regression and release testing with structured result reporting.
