Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Simulation Software Engineer (Hardware-in-the-Loop), Level 2, to work onsite in Dulles, VA. The role involves developing high-fidelity simulations for space vehicle hardware-in-the-loop platforms and collaborating with cross-functional teams on space programs.

A TS/SCI clearance is preferred; 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. The candidate will contribute to testbed development, interface hardware selection, and integration with flight software, in a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in a STEM field with relevant engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Proficiency with C/C++, Python; experience with Windows/Linux scripting.

Responsibilities

• Define simulation requirements for hardware-in-the-loop platforms.
• Select interfaces and hardware to simulate space vehicle components.
• Develop simulation models and interfaces for hardware cards and SpaceWire.
• Interface with hardware engineers during design, build and test phases.
• Create and execute simulation certification and test plans.
• Collaborate with program engineers to integrate components and flight software.
