You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members, assist with drawings, site visits, and QC processes, and learn department standards under supervision. The position offers an hourly rate of $22.00–$27.00 based on education level, with TN visa eligibility for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Full-time student pursuing ABET-accredited undergrad in Civil Engineering.
• Interest in transportation projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with design and production software to develop project documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist seniors with basic design tasks and research.
• Help prepare drawings for programming, schematic design, modeling, and construction phases.
• Support creation of presentation and marketing materials.
• Assist with construction phase activities, site visits, RFIs, shop drawings, record drawings updates.
• Follow QC procedures and ask questions as needed.
• Learn department standards and best practices.
• Develop basic design and technical skills through hands-on experience.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with team members.
• Receive guidance from supervisors and team leaders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
