Job summary

State of Nebraska in Oconto, NE is hiring a Hwy Maintenance Worker/Senior to operate trucks, loaders, graders and other heavy equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support snow removal and traffic safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
• CDL with air brakes and tanker endorsements preferred within stated timeframe.
• Experience operating heavy maintenance equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate highway maintenance equipment such as trucks, rollers, graders, and loaders.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities.
• Conduct snow removal, traffic control, and emergency response duties as needed.
• May train coworkers and respond to on-call emergencies.
