Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Class A CDL within 12 months of hire.
• Associate's Degree (Engineering) or 0-1 year highway maintenance experience.
• Must obtain defensive driving, First Aid/CPR, and Flagger certifications as directed.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and operates equipment safely and proficiently.
• Assist with training other technicians in operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Flag traffic and set up traffic control devices.
• Operate heavy equipment including trucks with auger, aerial lift, plows, wing plows, sanders, and chemical systems.
• Repair roadway surfaces and traffic control devices (signs, pavement markings).
• General maintenance of highway facilities like rest areas and water/wastewater treatment per EPA/DEQ.
