Responsibilities

• Operate a Tandem Dump Truck, Belt Loader, Self-Contained Sweeper, and Tractor with Broom for road construction and maintenance.
• Coordinate placement of traffic control devices per the SCDOT Work Zone Traffic Control Manual and Field Guide to warn motorists.
• Perform vegetation management using powered hand tools; pick up litter, debris, and dead animals.
• Assist in emergency and inclement weather operations; may include extended hours or 12-hour shifts.
• May be required to obtain Tanker Endorsement.
