The State of South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks a maintenance worker to operate tandem dump trucks and medium equipment in shoulder, ditching, and paving operations in Columbia, SC. You will assist in heavy equipment operation, manage traffic in work zones, and support after-hours repairs and emergency responses.

Responsabilidades

Operates tandem dump trucks hauling various materials as necessary in maintenance and repair operations.
Operates medium equipment such as belt loader in shoulder and ditching operations.
Operates medium equipment such as large roller compacting materials (base materials, asphalt).
Assists in the operation of heavy equipment such as backhoe and motor grader used in ditching, shoulder work, and pipe laying operations.
Flags traffic to protect workers within the work zone.
Assists with on-call repairs after hours.
Assist with emergency and inclement weather operation, may include extended hours and/or 12 hour shifts.
Operates small equipment such as trailer mounted pipe washer as needed in shoulder and ditching operations.
