Job summary

Proof of the Pudding is seeking additional Prep Cooks to support events at the Gas South District in Duluth, GA. The role focuses on mass food production, kitchen cleanliness, and assisting leadership with culinary tasks.

The position is part-time with responsibilities including food prep, stock preparation, and adherence to safety standards in a busy convention-center kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience working in a kitchen or catering environment.
• Knowledge of food preparation/food service with understanding of BEOs, production sheets, and completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and sanitize workstations.
• Follow prep lists created by lead culinary.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings; prepare stock for cooking.
• Prepare simple dishes as directed by the Executive Chef.
• Maintain proper storage of all food items and kitchen cleanliness.
• Assist chefs in food preparation and culinary tasks.
• Monitor food temperatures and safety in cooking areas.
