Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality in New York is seeking a part-time prep cook to ensure quality, consistency and production of all food items. You will wash, chop, and prepare ingredients, follow recipes to TAO standards, and maintain sanitation across the kitchen.

You'll set up prep stations, label and store items per FIFO, support the chefs, and work as part of a team in a fast-paced venue. Prior culinary experience is preferred and flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous culinary experience preferred.
• Experience as a prep and/or line cook in a high-volume operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, consistency and production of all food items.
• Prep cook will prepare cooking ingredients by washing, chopping, cutting and other preparations.
• Follow recipes to TAO Standards and maintain sanitation guidelines.
• Set up prep station, label and store items per FIFO and company standards.
• Support chefs and co-workers as part of a team and communicate needs.
