Job summary

SelecSource seeks an experienced Plant Production Line Scheduler to coordinate scheduling across multiple lines in a fast-paced, on-site manufacturing plant. The role requires strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills to meet customer demands and production goals.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of supervisory manufacturing experience, with familiarity in plastics/high-speed production environments and a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration with Production,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 10+ years of supervisory or management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with 500+ SKUs strongly preferred.
• Manufacturing plant experience is required.
• Plastics, EPS, thermoforming, foam, consumer products, or high-speed production experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate multiple production lines, including foam, straw, cutlery, specialty product, and potentially extruder lines.
• Develop production schedules to maximize equipment utilization and meet customer commitments.
• Work closely with Production, Operations, Sales, Customer Service, and Corporate Planning teams.
• Monitor order flow and prioritize production based on customer demand and available capacity.
• Maintain appropriate raw material inventory levels to support production and customer service requirements.
• Communicate production schedules and significant changes to department managers and supervisors.
• Maintain a strong presence on the plant floor to monitor production progress and address scheduling issues.
• Coordinate procurement of raw materials, supplies, maintenance materials, and services.
• Prepare and place purchase orders based on inventory requirements and production schedules.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotes and negotiate pricing, freight, blanket orders, and service contracts.
