Job summary

Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Line Cook to support daily kitchen production across casino, showroom, and resort dining outlets. You will follow safe food handling procedures, assist in preparing hot and cold dishes, and coordinate with Chefs on daily specials.

The role requires strong knife skills, food safety knowledge, and a customer‑service mindset in a fast‑paced environment. Must have a valid Maricopa County Food Handlers card and be a team player.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED not required but strongly preferred.
• Line Cook I: 1 year kitchen experience; basic knife skills; operate basic kitchen equipment.
• Line Cook II: 2–3 years production cooking; good knife skills; basic kitchen equipment; sautéing/broiling/frying/cold foods knowledge.
• Line Cook III: more than 3 years; exceptional knife skills; proficiency with all kitchen equipment; skilled at sautéing, broiling, frying, cold foods.
• Line Cook/Sushi: 1–3 years sushi prep; knife skills; proficient with kitchen equipment.
• Fine Dining Grill/Line Cook III: 3–5+ years grill experience; beef cuts knowledge; precise temps; multi‑protein management.

Responsibilities

• Follows safe food handling procedures at all times.
• Provides guests courteous, friendly and efficient service.
• Rotates foods for freshness and eye appeal.
• Retrieves food and supplies from kitchen or storage as needed.
• Prepares and cooks foods for respective kitchen outlets according to procedures and recipes.
• Prepares hot and cold food on all stations.
• Sets and re-stocks mise en place on the station.
• Cleans and prepares all fruits, vegetables, meats and fishes.
• Coordinates daily specials with Chefs.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety of workstation and surroundings.
