TKS Restaurants in Northridge, Los Angeles, CA is seeking a part-time Line Cook to support fast-paced kitchen operations with a focus on quality and efficiency. You will follow recipes, assist with inventory, and ensure cleanliness and safety while preparing meals for guests.

Candidates should have at least two years of high-volume kitchen experience and be able to work weekends and flexible hours. Excellent teamwork and reliability are valued, and basic computer skills (Word/Excel) help with

Qualifications

Two years’ experience in high-volume kitchen.
Must be comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel.
High school diploma or GED equivalent; professional diploma or food services management.

Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate food preparation and purchases.
Follows recipes, controls portions, and presentation specifications.
Inventory, storage, and distribution of food and supplies.
Oversee kitchen staff, ensure cleanliness of kitchen and equipment.
Oversee line cooks, tastes, smells, and observes food to ensure appearance standards.
May plan, change, and standardize recipes with supervisor’s approval.
Track and report any food waste.
Prepare and portion foods, and utilize surpluses and leftovers.
