The Casino at Dania Beach is seeking a line cook to prepare grill items and batch quantities for all service lines in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. You will follow standardized recipes, manage portion sizes, maintain sanitation, and collaborate with the Executive Chef and team to deliver quality meals.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years cooking in busy kitchens, a High School Diploma, and the ability to obtain state gaming and occupational licenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• 5+ years of cooking in a high-volume kitchen.
• Must obtain the appropriate state occupational license.
• Experience in hospitality preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must apply for the appropriate state gaming license and FBI background check.
• Must pass drug testing per policy.

Responsibilities

• Prepares grill items or batch quantities to cover all food service lines.
• Prepares a variety of food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other kitchen equipment.
• Follows standard recipes, production sheets and portion control standards to prevent waste and assure quality.
• Operates standard cooking equipment and maintains a clean, orderly work area.
• Reports equipment problems to the Executive Chef or supervisor and follows safety policies.
• Closes the kitchen properly and assists others in closing.
