Job summary

Ascension Coffee is seeking a Line Cook to join our fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. You will prepare menu items to specification, stock and set up stations, and collaborate with the BOH team to deliver consistent quality.

We value speed, accuracy and a sanitary work space. Candidates should have 3 years of line cook or prep cook experience, be able to maintain 8-minute ticket times, and work 8-hour shifts in a team environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years of line cook or prep cook experience in a high-volume or fast-casual restaurant.
• Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing menu items (under 8 minute ticket times).
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts or longer.
• Must either have a valid Food Handler's certificate or be willing to take the test to receive one

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to company specifications (build sheets & recipes).
• Set-up and stock stations prior to service.
• Re-stock station before completing shift, and prep for subsequent shift.
• Adhere to Kitchen Manager and General Manager's instructions.
• Maintain a sanitary work area.
• Ensure that food comes out to spec consistently and under an 8 minute ticket time.
