Job summary

Ascension Coffee Company is seeking a Line Cook to join our high-volume kitchen in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare menu items according to our build sheets and recipes, set up and stock stations, and ensure timely, high-quality plates.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of line or prep cook experience, understand diverse cooking methods, and can work closely with the BOH team to maintain clean, safe, and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a line cook or prep cook in a high-volume or fast-casual restaurant.
• Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Ability to deliver items with accuracy and speed (8 minute ticket times).
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts or longer.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a Food Handler’s certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to company specifications (build sheets & recipes).
• Set-up and stock stations prior to service.
• Re-stock station before completing shift, and prep for subsequent shift.
• Adhere to Kitchen Manager and General Manager’s instructions.
• Maintain a sanitary work area.
• Ensure that food comes out to spec consistently and under an 8 minute ticket time.
