Job summary

PopStroke is seeking a skilled Cook to deliver high-quality culinary services in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. You will prepare meals quickly and safely, follow portion controls to minimize waste, and ensure cleanliness across all kitchen areas. The role requires teamwork, strong cooking knowledge, and the ability to lift and move heavy trays.

Weekend and holiday availability is required, and you will support inventory, opening/closing procedures, and trash removal as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook in a high-volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely operate kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest quality of culinary services for our guests.
• Prepare food quickly, safely, and efficiently according to standards.
• Follow portion control procedures to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
• Accurately utilize technology to recognize and complete food ticket orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and rotating ingredients.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to maintain efficient workflow and timely service.
• Assist with dishwashing and food prep duties as needed.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
• Follow all safety procedures and execute opening/closing procedures.
• Remove trash and ensure cleanliness of the trash compactor area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
