Job summary

PopStroke is seeking a dedicated cook to join our high-volume kitchen team. You will prepare food quickly and safely, follow portion control, and ensure cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced environment. You will also assist with inventory, dishwashing, and opening/closing procedures.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and weekend/holiday availability. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to maintain efficient service and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure the highest quality of culinary services for our guests.
• Quickly, safely, and efficiently prepare food in accordance with our preparation and execution standards.
• Follow established portion control procedures to minimize food waste and maximize profitability.
• Accurately utilize technology to recognize and complete food ticket orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment, countertops, walk-in coolers, and storage areas, to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients, labeling prep items, receiving supplies, and notifying the chef or manager of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to maintain efficient workflow and communicate effectively to ensure timely preparation and service of meals.
• Assist with dishwashing and food prep duties as needed.
• Maintain a high degree of standards in cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Execute opening and closing procedures.
• Remove trash, safely operate a trash compactor, and ensure cleanliness of the trash compactor area.
• Other duties as assigned.
