Job summary

nLIGHT, based in Camas, WA, is hiring Manufacturing Technicians to support high-volume production of laser components. You will troubleshoot, perform routine maintenance, and drive process improvements in collaboration with process engineering. Qualifications

• 6 months MSIII or 1+ years in HV production with electronics/semiconductor equipment.
• Ability to learn policies and perform routine tasks.
• Understand technology and equipment basics.
• Competent with common hand tools and measurement devices.
• Good written and verbal communication; adept at learning new tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of automated production tools to ensure quality, throughput and utilization.
• Troubleshoot equipment, collect data, and communicate status and solutions.
• Maintain routine process equipment maintenance and calibrations.
• Support process engineering in continuous improvements for safety, efficiency, and downtime reduction.
• Provide leadership, training, and certification for production personnel.
• Document processes for prototype and high-volume lines; lead by example to remove production bottlenecks.
• Drive improvement using SPC, DOE, lean manufacturing, and six sigma concepts.
• Perform manufacturing builds and other tasks to meet production goals.
