Job summary

nLIGHT, based in Camas, WA, seeks a Manufacturing Lead to drive daily production, safety, and quality. You may contribute up to 50% direct labor to assemble/test laser devices and mentor the assembly cell to meet demand.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as Manufacturing Specialist or equivalent.
• Hands-on assembly, precision fabrication, and product testing.
• Ability to work overtime to meet production output schedules.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating/maintenance instructions.
• Basic computer literacy and LAN navigation.
• Basic math, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work with others collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift production objectives by monitoring machine and personnel performance.
• Ensure WIP movement aligns with projections and schedules.
• Coordinate with supervisor and team leads to prioritize work.
• Participate in staffing projections and turnover meetings.
• Initiate shift staffing and resource planning for productivity.
• Drive Lean and 5S improvements and cost-saving ideas.
